Even The British PM Needs Removal Services

David Cameron was greeted by removal vans this morning at Downing Street, where he and his family are getting ready to say goodbye to their home from the past six years. Theresa May will be the lucky receiver of the keys to the property, but not until tomorrow, when he visits Buckingham Palace to officially resign to the Queen. The Cameron family will have to gather their belongings and move out in just one day from their fabulously designed flat above Number 11.

This move was much earlier than expected as Mrs May suddenly won the Tory crown, after her last rival Andrea Leadsom suddenly dropped out yesterday. This does not come as a surprise to the Cameron family as they have re-mortgaged their Notting Hill home. Mrs May paid tribute to Mr Cameron as he left the Cabinet.

The £3.6million Notting Hill house the Cameron’s own is currently being rented out, which means they do not have anywhere to immediately go in London. A number of assistants coming in and out of Downing Street, were carrying bags and boxes, when a blue van filled with flat-pack boxes was seen waiting outside. 300 boxes, 30 rolls of tape and 3 rolls of bubble wrap, were revealed on the list of packing supplies, which was accidentally shown to a police officer instead of David Cameron’s assistant.

Mr Cameron’s team hit the table as their final cabinet meeting ended at 10.20am. Before making the journey to Buckingham Palace to tender his resignation, he will now prepare for a final outing at Prime Minister’s Questions tomorrow. There had been a “warm and reflective mood” at the meeting, where the Mr Cameron spoke about his “honor and pride at serving the country and serving the Cabinet” revealed the Prime Minister’s spokeswoman.
