Today (4th of July) marks the most important national holiday in the American calendar, Independence day. It was on this date in 1776 that the American continental congress finally approved a declaration Of independence from Britain, which led to the creation of the United States of America.
American citizens both at home and worldwide will mark this special day with indoor and outdoor celebrations , family BBQ’s, and flag displays. Patriotic parades , observations, and firework displays are also held in cities and towns all across the nation by local government authorities.
